Without doubt the biggest news in gaming this year is the launch of Sony's Playstation 3. Check out these great features:

Blu-ray Disc™

The next generation of disk technology, the Blu-ray offers a massive 50GB storage for high-definition games and other media.

Hard Disk Drive

There are two versions of the PS3, one has a 20GB HDD, the other has a 60GB HDD. Both are great for storing media such as music that you download from the Internet or copy from CDs.

Backward Compatibility

The PS3 can play most of your PS1 and PS2 games so you can still enjoy all the games you've already bought as well as great new games specially written for the Playstation 3.

High Definition Video

The PS3 can handle screen sizes up to 1080p (shorthand for 1920 x 1080 progressive scan) via its HDMI output. So if you have a full HD TV then you'll get awesome graphics. Even if you don't have HD yet PS3 will still work great via a number of other AV outputs and screen sizes.

Connectivity

Both the 20GB and 60GB models have a Gigabit Ethernet port so you can connect to a wired LAN for Internet connectivity, and also built-in Bluetooth. The 60GB model also has an 802.11b/g wireless network capability.
